Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny is a 10km race along the Ganaraska River, which commemorates the historic flood of 1980, is a one-of-a-kind community event for Port Hope that is run by a committed team of volunteers.
The Float Your Fanny team is connecting with organizations to provide custom sponsorship opportunities for Port Hope’s signature spring celebration. As an event sponsor you will play a key role in facilitating this annual tourism event in both Port Hope and Northumberland County.
We have exciting plans for the 2024 event, with a unique modified format but offering the same craziness as the past 44 years of this great event. Our volunteer team is working to create a vibrant celebration in Fannyville, our family-friendly event village located near the finish area. Fannyville is a bustling venue for sponsors to connect with the thousands of spectators who attend the event.
Sponsorship provides an opportunity for organizations to demonstrate their community support and connect with the event audience. Onsite surveys have provided us with demographic insights of the event audience, including that 60% of our audience is from Northumberland County and 40% travel from beyond 40km to attend. A customized sponsorship arrangement can create a unique opportunity for an organization to engage with existing and potential customers on the riverbanks of Port Hope to build brand awareness and loyalty.
