Love how Our Troops get right into it to. Sweet

On April 13th, a beautiful Spring day, the 39th "Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny" was held, to the delight of many spectators and participants. This was a record for participation; 68 Crazy Crafts and 78 canoes, kayaks and paddle boards, made up the 300 plus participants. Float Your Fanny is a 10km race along the Ganaraska River, to commemorate the 1980 flood that devastated Port Hope’s downtown area. The unsinkable human spirit allows us to celebrate the 1980 flood - a natural disaster. Congratulations to Barry Adamson, his daughter, Barrileigh, Jeannie Maidens, Richard Price, the Build and Operational Team and event sponsors, who made this Float Your Fanny 2019 possible. Be sure to mark your April 2020 calendar for next year's event, which will be the 40th Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny! It was a great day for it this year! I am so glad I could attend. I recorded a most of it and am working on editing the video. I recorded the event back in 2010 as well. That day too, was beautiful and warm! Here is one of my videos from that day. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4lif2zloTA

I have to say again that the stand up paddle boarders with no helmet were a great danger to themselves and young people who will copy their behaviour. People are dying on SUPs because of no helmets. https://distressedmullet.com/2017/07/13/dissecting-the-uscg-sup-accident-numbers/

We want to thank Georgian Bay Spirit Co. for their second year as a Float Your Fanny sponsor. They were again in Fannyville this year offering samples of their Gin and Vodka Smash, and from what we hear most people stopped by to say hello to them! ... See MoreSee Less

This was our first time watching, what a beautiful day. Loved it.

Awesome, so much fun to watch! Had a great day with great weather! Debbie Wigmore Raymond Wigmore

Survived it. Found our boat

Yes was much fun very special .. but the stand up paddle board people with no helmets in a shallow rocky river were a VERY bad example for young people who will be injured or killed emulating them.

Steve Donadel I spotted you guys!

Hope everyone had a wet wild and safe time this year.. see you all next year

This was our first year out to watch the event It was awesome. We will be back next year for sure. We may watch up further by the dam. We stood close to the finish line today!! Great job to everyone!!!

Anyone know who the vendor was that was selling the cute little clay or concrete animals today? My daughter bought me a hedgehog. I was thinking of buying some more. But there were no labels from the artist/ maker.

How do you guys luck out with weather every year?
